Discussion

If you are running a modern operating system on modern hardware this is not the device for you. It may work, but please consider a superior USB 3.0 Gigabit Ethernet Adaptor even if you only have USB 2.0 ports available.

This device has an extremely common chipset (ASIX AX88772) which has been around for a long time (released 2007) that is supported by numerous operating systems. Recent MacOS versions (since 2020 with MacOS 11 Big Sur) dropped support so it cannot be used on modern Apple Intel nor ARM computers.

Is it a great device? No. But you can probably get it working.

Supported Platforms:

  • Microsoft Windows {XP, Vista 7, 8, 10, 11} on {32, 64} bit
  • Nintendo {Wii, Wii U, Switch}
  • ChromeOS
  • Linux
  • Android (incl Nvidia Shield)
  • MacOS 10.5 to 10.7 (Intel and PowerPC)
  • macOS 10.9 to 10.15 (Intel)
  • macOS >10.15 - NOT SUPPORTED
