Discussion
Most USB Gigabit Ethernet adapters suck. Full stop.
Unless you need to support specificial niche hardware (e.g. ethernet connection for the nintendo switch) you should opt for newer hardware assuming it has good drivers available. Unlike many Gigabit Ethernet adapters still sold on Amazon, out of the box MacOS and Windows on x64 and ARM both offer officially supported drivers for the chipsets in these devices.
The Belkin Gigabit adapter is identical to the white version sold at Apple Stores that costs a little more.
